Rings

Two weeks ago, our current exhibition Rings opened to enormous success. Featuring rings made by artists Marian Hosking, Carlier Makigawa, Marcus Foley, Nina Oikawa, Peta Kruger, Johannes Kuhnen, Helen Britton, Michelle Taylor, Cinnamon Lee, Sean O’Connell and Tanja Taglietti, the exhibition Rings will be showing until the 28th September.

Contained Opening – 13th July 2012

The current Gallery Bilk exhibition Contained consists of work by Carlier Makigawa. The exhibition opened on 13th July to a wonderful reception, which was attended by renowned artists and colleagues. Contained is a magnificent collection of Carlier’s work, showcasing her talent and ability to examine different forms of line in a stunning, elegant manner. Contained is at Gallery Bilk until 17th of August.

In Light of Shadows Opening – 1st June 2012

Our new exhibition, In Light of Shadows, opened on Friday 1st June.
Something new for Gallery Bilk, the exhibition was received wonderfully, with many colleagues and friends attending the opening.
In Light of Shadows is the response of several extraordinary artists; we endeavour collaboration in art, to seek the wonder of shadows.  Our work is to convey wonder.

The work itself is no doubt wonderful, and the exhibition will remain at Gallery Bilk until the 6th July.

Under a Canadian Sky Opening – 20th April 2012

Our current exhibition, Under a Canadian Sky, by Kirstie Rea, opened on the 20th April. It was a very successful opening, with friends, associates and colleagues coming to observe Kirstie’s beautiful work. The exhibition itself is a stunning reflection of Kirstie’s recent visit to Canada, and will be remaining at Gallery Bilk until 26th May.

What a successful opening!

Thank you for everyone who came along on Friday evening for our first exhibition opening of the year, Embark. We hope you had a fabulous evening and were as inspired by the exhibited work as we were.

If you missed the opening or would like to come back for another glimpse the exhibition is still open.

Melbourne Boys Opening

Last Friday night, Melbourne Boys opened to great crowds and a fabulous speech by Susan. To add to all that excitement we also drew the winners for the Gold & Silver Workshop Raffle. If you missed out, or just want to relive the night have a look at our social photos below.

in Canberra in Miniature Opening

We’ve been busy with the openings here at Bilk, with in Canberra & in Miniature opening last Friday. It was freezing cold, but that couldn’t keep the glass hungry crowd away! There are only a few photos from the night, but you can see how packed it was. A big thank you to everyone who braved the cold, and an especially big thank you to Genevieve Jacobs for officially opening the exhibition!
